I live like a living thing!

I know, I know. You thought I had disappeared forever. But! I got my own Mac. Hell yeah. My money finally came and I got the Mac to take to school. On the bonus side, I got a iPod Nano and Printer for free. The only thing they forgot to tell me was to get an Airport Express. Oh, and the people can't follow the proper steps. My mom had to pay for it. Don't worry, I paid off that part of the bill that night, but it was very embarrassing. At least it wasn't my account, though. T'was them. I called my people the next day and after some major investigation they found it wasn't me.

By the way? Love My Mac. God, this thing is so much easier and quicker to boot up. I'm keeping my PC for things like Photoshop until my one for Mac comes. I need to get a USB mouse, too. *draws little hearts all over the new shiny*

Also, I really like Kate Voegle's album.

On a non-computer note, I'm going to Dragon*Con this year. I was going to go out of state but with prices rising and the dollar not being worth spit, I don't think so. I'm going to stay in a swank hotel and spend my money locally. And I'll still probably come out cheaper.

When you say, your money, do you mean your inheritance? All that mess is cleared up? If so, that's totally awesome, dude *spoken in stereotypical stoned surfer accent, of course*

Oh, btw, how expensive are Mac products? Way way way WAY back in the day, my parents had a Mac, but they switched to PCs because they used a lot of software like Photoshop, etc. which were more expensive on Macs. Has that changed? Are they about the same now? I don't know any Mac users, so I'm asking you. :)

Yep! My inheritance. Now my last major purchase is my car. Damned thing. I can't find one I want, because looking into Versas, they kinda suck on quality. I want a nice one under 20k.

Macs are hella expensive. I've spent about 4 grand getting mine all said and done. The software is more expensive (Abode Photoshop 3 Web Premium with student discount: $520) but the quality of computer i worth it. I got the most expensive Macbook Pro with a three year warranty. It's a lot more faster and no virus software to slow it down. (Macs can't get Windows viruses.) Honestly, the OS is so much more user friendly. Like when you look something up in the "finder" section, little arrows appear to show you instead of making you search. I was just reformatting my external HD to use on this one. So much nicer overall. I just have trouble finding a bag to carry all my parts in.

Got a iPod Nano for free. Apparently, all my Mac electronics have Doctor Who names: iPod (Adipose), printer (Donna), Macbook (Rose), external (Martha), wireless mouse (Jackie), keyboard (Sarah Jane). I think I need help. I got MS Office for Mac for like 150. Not bad, really. About as expensive as MS Office for PCs.

You should be happy you've only named your computer equipment - I've named all my plush toys, my earrings, my necklaces, some of my furniture... you get the idea.

As for the Mac stuff, eek - that's expensive. So, I guess I'm not changing my PC anytime soon. :)
I'm glad you like it, though.

Oh no. I name my cars, too. It's not just Mac parts. I just stick to electronic things.

Mac is hella expensive, but it's so nice to be able to boot a computer up and work straight off. You know how long it can take a PC to boot. They have cheaper ones, I should mention. See?. And a mini. For me, it was a matter of purpose.

Didn't want to post this on my blog (parents read it), but I've got a horrible blind date story to relate (that happened this weekend). If you want to hear it, let me know (I'll email it to ya). :)
Need your need your email address, though. :)

I'm trying to think of a witty comeback, but I'm currently running on 4 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours, and as I'm finishing up a very very very procrastinated paper, I come here and have absolutely no idea what you're referring to. Have I forgotten a conversation somewhere? Is my bleary mind going crazy?

Yes, you're just going crazy. Promise. But don't worry, I'm procrastinating, too. I should be doing my homework for both classes due tomorrow but as I'm exhausted in almost all aspects, fuck it for another hour. I'll go read one of my Birds of Prey comics. Or Batman.
